triming a Sago

Question
I would like to trim the bottom tiers of leaves from my sagos.  These are outdoor plants and aged from 5years to 15 years.  They are in perfect conditions here in west central Florida and put out new growth from once to twice a year.  Is there any fear in trimming too many tiers?

Answer
Hi Paul,

I would leave at least 1 or 2 tiers of fronds on at any given time. Within that, you will not do any damage to your Sago.

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
