bugs in my soil for indoor plants

Question
I bought a bag Of soil and I realize that there's bugs in them. They are long and have have a lot of legs. I didn't notice it until I put water into them. What can I do to kill them.

Answer
Hi Maria,

I suggest that you try plunging the infested pots up to their rims in plain water. Leave them for about 30 minutes. This will cause the bugs to rise to the surface in search of oxygen. Scoop them off and discard them. A repeat treatment may be necessary.
