mad. dragon tree

Question
I have three beautiful M.D. trees in one pot and two of them started getting this "condition" which feels to me like the tree "skin" is separating from an inner "skeleton".  One of the two has almost completely lost all of its leaves.  Help!  Can you deduce what could possibly be happening?  thanks much.

Answer
h,

Most likely it is being over watered and the roots and trunk are rotting. Immediatley cut out the 2 with the problem. Drain as much water as possible off the plant by setting it in the sink without the drain tray for several hours. Do not water it again for at least 2 -3 weeks until it feels very dry and light weight when you pick the pot up. In the future only water the plant when it is light weight. Too much water kills plants faster than too little. You may be able to buy a couple of small MD trees and add to the pot in the spring after the one you have left has recuperated. Good luck.
