Question
I have a parrot and I recently gave him his own bedroom and I am trying to fill it with plants. I am a little worried because I have research a ton of plants I like and every site is giving me a different answer as to if they are toxic or not. I cannot find a " Burgundy Robusta" anywhere so I have no clue if it is toxic or not. Others are a Mass and Yucca Canes and a Majesty Palm. Someone please help me.

Burgundy Robusta is not the name of the plant it is just a description the nursery gave it because they didn't know the name and were too lazy to find out the real name. Send me a picture and I can tell you what plant family it is from and whether or not it is poisonous.

A Mass cane is in the dracaena family and is not poisonous, a yucca is not and neither is a majesty palm although a majesty palm is difficult to grow indoors. The following site will give you more info:

That palm needs lots of light, lots of water and lots of fertilizer but cannot be left sitting in a tray full of water ever and must be planted in a sandy well draining soil. It needs as much sun as possible all day long. If you send me a picture of the Burgundy Robusta I will try to identify it for you on Sunday, I will be out of town tomorrow. Good luck.
