choice of plants

Question
Hi,

Can you please recommend what type of indoor house plant would be good for sunny but drafty area in the foyer of my house?  I prefer a large/tall house plant.

Also, what would you recommend for an indoor house plant in a living room with low to moderate lighting?  (4 ft. - 5 ft.)

Thanks for your advice in advance!

Answer
For your sunny, but drafty foyer, I recommend a Ficus benjamina, Ficus lyrata, Ficus elastica (rubber plant), Norfolk Island pine, Dracaena marginata, Rhapis palm (expensive), Kentia palm (expensive), Podocarpus, and Yucca. All of these plants are tall, require good light and can withstand temps as low as 45 degrees F.

For your living room, I recommend Dracaena 'Janet Craig', Dracaena 'Lisa,' corn plant, Spathiphyllum 'Sensation, 'Bamboo palm, Rhapis palm, Kentia palm, and Dracaena marginata.

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
