Corn Plant with Flower

Question

Corn Plant with Flower
I have a small corn plant (Dracaena) that is about 1 year old, and it is planted outdoors in the shade in Phoenix, Arizona.  It was in a pot for about a year, and then I planted it outdoors a few months ago.  Yesterday, I noticed some dark pink flowers coming out of the middle of the leafy shoots (picture attached).  I was really surprised.  I would appreciate if you would please let me know if you have ever heard of corn plants getting raspberry-colored flowers.  Thank you.

Answer
Alicia,

Yes, I have heard of corn plants, dracaena fragrans blooming a dark pink flower stalk out of the center of the leaf shoot. When the blooms open they will be highly scented, you will probably be able to smell it in your mome.

Go to the following site and you will find a picture and more info.
If you have more questions after reading that website feel free to write again. Good luck.
