Indoors trees

Question
Hi, I'm Live in Ontario Canada. I'm looking for an inside tree or anything that grow tall ( 5' to 7') but with red color or anything close to that color? Or if there is not red indoors trees or plants that tall , something different but not  all green.  I would really appreciate some options. It is very difficult to find plants like that here. # I'm thinking Tropical# because they will be good inside all year around.) but well you are the expert.. any suggestion will be good for me.Thanks

Answer
Yacely,

Plants are predominantly green. You can get variegated ficus trees which are green and white or green and cream. Another option would be a hibiscus tree which would be green leaves with flowers on it about half of the year in any of several different colors. Draceana Marginata if given lots of sun has a red edged leaf variety. Croton plants have red and yellow leaves and can get up to 3 foot tall but start out smaller and you would probably have to grow it larger yourself. The 揜ed Sister?variety of Hawaiian Ti plant, scientific name Cordyline terminalis is also red leaved and will grow large. You can go to Google and enter any of these names then click on images to see what they look like. Or some variegated Ti plants are more pink. You will probably need to talk to a large greenhouse and tell them what you are looking for or call several greenhouses and ask them if they hav any of these plants. They are not things you will find in Walmart or Lowes very often. You will have to pay a bit more for them. A greenhouse may be able to order something for you. When you get something I suggest that you make sure you know exactly what you are buying and then you email me again and I will give your further care instructions on that particular plant. Good luck.

Darlene
