Browning Tips on Hawaiian Dwarf

Question

Lighting Set-up
I asked a question about browning tips on a hawaiian dwarf plant and it would not allow me to upload multiple pictures.  Here is the picture of my lighting set-up.

Answer
Hi Alanna,
Browning leaf tips are more often caused by too low humidity and problems with water quality than caused by lighting.
To increase humidity around the plant you can try placing the plant on a tray of pebbles filled halfway with water. Be sure that the bottom of the pot is not sitting in the water as this will cause the soil to stay too wet.
Another way to raise the humidity is to group several plants together.

A lot of plants are sensitive to the fluoride, chlorine and hard water deposits found in most tap water. These chemicals, especially fluoride, often cause brown leaf tips.
I recommend using distilled water. By using distilled water you can avoid the problems that can be caused by water quality.

I hope this helps. If you have any questions or need additional information please don't hesitate to ask.
     Thanks
