Brown tips

Question
I have a peace lily that I water when it begins to droop.  Recently the tips of some leaves are turning brown. What should I do to keep it thriving.

Answer
Beverly,

Are you sure it is bone dry begore you water it again? Brown leaf tips usually signifys too much water. They also droop more often from too much water than too little. The roots need three day breathing periods after the plant seems bone dry. The best way to tell if the plant is dry is to pick it up, if it is heavy it does not need water, if it is light let it go one more day then water it. Plants can be very moist down in the pot when you think it is really dry on the surface.  You said, "I have a peace lily that I water when it begins to droop."  How often is that? How large is the plant? What size pot is it in? Was it recently repotted? How old is it? Is it in a pot with a drainage hole?
Answer my questions and I will try to help you more.
