Burro tail

Question
I have Burr tail that I got a couple of months ago. It has been doing fine except in the last week that I discovered the room that it was in was darken by a darken blind. When I realized that I noticed that I needed to water it and put outside in the sun, Some of the leafs started to wrinkle. I watered it alot and stuck it outside in a bright sun facing the south. The last couple of days it has been turning pale yellowish.  If you need some information or have questions please let me know.

Sincerely,
Matt

Answer
Hi Matt,

I am a bit confused by the information you provided. How long was your Burro's Tail in a dark room? How much light did it get before that? If it was in a dark place for more than a couple of weeks then that may have started its decline.

Although Burro's Tail does needed lots of bright light, the outdoor sun is too intense and too much of a dramatic change for it. Hence its pale color.

In addition, this is a plant that needs to be kept dry so your watering it a lot may be causing the roots to rot.

Here is what your plant needs. Keep it on your sunniest window INDOORS with the window uncovered completely throughout the daylight hours. Water it only when the soil is dry at least halfway deep into the pot. Do not repot it or fertilize it. I repeat - lots of indoor light and not very much water are all this plant needs.

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
