luck bean plant

Question
the plant was given to me, it is in a small 3" glass container. it has really grown since I received it, not tall but in width, should I be replanting it, and if so in what,   thank you so much

Answer
Hi Myra,

Most glass containers do not have bottom drainage holes, so that is the best reason to move it into a different pot. If the roots are wrapped all around the outside of the soil ball, then put it into a pot that is 4 inches in diameter. Otherwise, move it into a pot that is 3 inches, but has drain holes. Use a standard potting mix.

You are obviously having success with your Lucky Bean, so don't make any radical changes in what you have been doing.

I have written an article on repotting that I will email for free to you (or anyone else) who sends a request to me at [email protected].

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
