Cephalotus Unpacked; question

Question
I was unpacking a ceph that I have recieved from you.  I've gently removed the dome, but it also pulled the packing tape a little just enough to pull the plant a little from its soil.  After 2 minutes I finished unpacking and I was worried that the plant would suffer from any root disrturbance.  I've added some more peat and perlite around it to replace any lost soil and to hide the roots and watered it.  Is the plant going to survive?
And can I grow it in San Jose California?

Answer
Hi Taylor,

Your plant will be just fine, even with a mild root disturbance such as what it experienced.  You did the right thing in adding more soil around the roots.

Give your plant up to a week to recover from the shipping process.  As always, we guarantee the health of our plats for a full 30 days from the time of shipping.  Just make sure to follow our recommendations on our care sheet:

Good growing!
