Red color in Venus Fly Traps and Cape Sundew

Question
I have a small collection of carnivorous plants, but there's an issue with my Cape Sundew and Venus Fly Trap being too green. When I first bought the VFT, most of the traps had at least some red in them, but now there's none, and the only red on the CSD are on the original leaves, not any of the newly grown ones. I have heard that this can be due to the plants not getting enough sunlight, but mine are kept in direct sunlight for most of the day, so surely they're getting enough sunlight?

Answer
Hi Aaron,

I just picked up your question from the question pool.

This problem seems a little mysterious.  Tell me a bit more about your overall care.  Also, send me a photo of the plants.  Include in the growing information, # of hours of sun daily, what direction the window faces, what kind of water you're using along with how your watering.  Also tell me about your soil.  Have you transplanted recently?  If so what did you use?

Good Growing!
