larger plants

Question
hello, i want to expand on my outdoor bog. i have had success now for 3 years w/ venus fly-traps, pitcher plants & 1-sundew. i live in northeest corner of sc. please recommend some larger plants & can purchase from you . thank-you , pam

Answer
Hi Pam,

Later on in the spring we'll have our larger Sarracenia online for purchase.  If you are looking for size, good candidates would be Sarracenia flava, S. oreophila, S. leucophylla, typical variety or Titan, S. alata, and S. rubra gulfensis.  Sarracenia rosea (also known as S. purpurea burkii) can attain a very nice size.  Hybrids of the above mentioned plants can also be very spectacular.  One sundew that would do great in your area would be Drosera filiformis, "Florida Giant".  It is probably our largest North American sundew.

Good Growing!
