Hi Lynda,

Most species and hybrids of Sarracenia are simple plants to grow in the East.  The differences are more about personal preference of appearance, and how fast some varieties grow.  Some are more winter hardy than others.  If I were to pick just one or two plants for all-around good plants it would be Sarracenia flava, the typical forms for a species, and Sarracenia x "Judith Hindle" for a hybrid.
