Drosera Roseana Help!!!

Question

D. Roseana
Hello from Idaho!

I have been having a few (meaning many) problems with a pygmy sundew, D.
Roseana.  I am growing it in a peat/perlite soil mix, it is getting about 5 hrs
of sunlight on a windowsill, And it is in a water tray with about 2 inches of
water. the soil is constantly moist.  The plant itself is producing leaves, but by
the time the leaf is about to unfurl and show tentacles,  the leaf has died.
There were three in the pot, but two of them have died.

This is a strange thing because I am growing it right alongside a D.
Scorpiodes, and it is doing beautifully.

Here is a couple pictures of the plants.

Answer
Hi Chance,

Thanks for the photo.  That always helps.  What is your water source?  This looks like it could be hard water damage.  Also, did anyone fertilize it by accident?  That could also cause this appearance.  Try flushing the top of the pot and plant with plenty of distilled water and see if the plant improves.  Let me know how it goes.

Good Growing!
