Flava Rhizome  

Flava   I was looking at my Flava's rhizome today and I thought that it may be a bit crowded in there and wanted to know if I should plan to split the rhizome next year, I live in Miami, Florida and the plant is getting more than 8 hours of sun per day

The plant looks very healthy.  Good job!  We generally think about dividing a rhizome only if its outgrowing the pot.  The plant seems comfortable in the pot, and I don't see any evidence that it's being overcrowded.  You most likely won't need to divide it for a couple more years.
