lumens for nepenthes

Question
is 2500 lumens is good enough for 4 nepenthes, I use 1 daylight lightbulb which gives out 1750 lumens and one t8 florencent light that gives out 750 lumens. The lightbulb are about 4 inches close to the plant and the t8 is about 6 inches away from the plant.

Answer
Hi Aaron,

Your lights sound bright enough, and the distance is about right.  You'll need, however, to watch your plants and adjust as needed.  If after a month or so you're not getting any pitchers, and color is pale on leaves, the lights may need to be closer.  The Nepenthes species can make a difference also.  Plants like N. sanguinea like it pretty bright.  N. truncata and N. ventricosa are a little more shade tolerant.

Good Growing!
