Hello.  I read your recommendation for the soil mix for the Darlingtonia.  I have some orchid bark that has charcoal chips in it.  Should I take the charcoal out?  Will it has an adverse effect on the plant?  Thank you.

Hi David,

The charcoal should be of no concern.  Some companies put it there to help take out impurities.  Since you'll be doing lots of top watering with Darlingtonia, stuff gets leached out quickly anyway.
