miranda Nepenthes pitchers

Question
I bought a Nepenthes Miranda about a year a go, and it's growing great looking leaves, but it hasn't developed any pitchers.  It wintered very well in our home (zone 5), and it really looks healthy.  Any tips on how to induce the plant to grow pitchers?

Answer
Hi Gary,

More sun.  Your plant should be getting at least 3 hours of direct sun on a sunny day.  If your leaves start to turn a nice reddish color, your starting to get enough.  If you're doing any fertilizing, stop.  They sometimes won't make pitchers if they are getting too much fertilizer, but light is usually the cause of no pitchers.

Good Growing!
