Anti-fungal Powders for over-wintering

Question
Hey there! I wish there were some way of searching past questions because I cannot imagine this has not been asked before already. What type of anti-fungal powder should I look for when preparing potted, temperate carni-plants in Zone 4 for winter storage? Is there a particular brand you prefer over others? Thanks!!

Answer
Hi Rexenne,

I don't have any particular brand, but look for dusting sulfur.  Sometimes it will be called wettable sulfur powder also.  This works very well.  Just make sure it's just sulfur, and doesn't have lime also.  Sulfur is great at preventing fungal growth, is cheap, and low-tox.

Good Growing!
