Sun Picture Color

Question
Hey guys, I had a question of curiosity about my Sun Picture. I have it in the same set up as yours with the ten gallon tank and two tube 40W cool white tubes and they also get indirect light from a north window. My question is about the color of the newly formed pictures. When they first open they have a beautiful yellow hue to them and after a few weeks the picture looses some of that and becomes more green. Is that just their natural process? Thanks, Jason

Answer
From what you described, that's a normal process.  The plant incorporates more chlorophyll as the leaf matures.  With proper light intensity, you should also get a reddish hue along the rim, depending on your variety of course.

Good growing!
