S. Judith Hindle is going to making it?

Question

Allexperts,

The judith Hindle that I have now looks like it is alive and it is sending up pitchers.   My question is, the plant going to make it?  The pitcher plant is sending up pitchers that you can't really see in the photo that I have attached to the email.   It was attacked by a mold  back in February, and I have been using Tebenzcole (spelling Sorry) to treat the plant also sulfur.   Thank you.

Sincerely,

Weylin

Answer
If the plant is sending up pitchers, then there is a chance it'll make it.  Of course, only time will tell how big of a chance that is.  Not much to do at this point but wait.  Even if this plant were at our nursery, the most I could do is wait and see.  You can improve the odds by unpotting the plant and scraping way all the dead material and spray again with a fungucide.  This will help reduce the recurrence of fungus.  However, this is a judgement call on your part.  You will need to weigh the effort versus the rewards.  *If* the plant does make it, it will be quite small this year and possibly next year.  Some folks, myself included, might look at it as too much effort and start anew.

Good growing!
