Can Pinguicula moctezumae sunburn?

Question
I have a Pinguicula moctezumae that seems to have possible leaf tip burn. My plant sits in a south facing window so it gets plenty of sun. Interestingly the leaves that develop during cloudy spells show no signs of leaf tip burn. The plant is otherwise healthy and has produced many flowers over the last several months. If this is an issue is there something I should do and/or do I even need to worry about it?

Thanks,

Garrett Jepsen

Answer
Hi Garrett,

You can get some leaf burn if window conditions are especially warm.  Easiest thing to do is just nestle the plant in among others that are more sun-loving.  You can also must move it back a little further from the window.

In many ways this is a good problem to have since most folks have the opposite problem which is not enough light.  It gives you lots of options for plants.

Good Growing!
