Drosera capensis, Red Leaf

Question
Since this is a tropical plant can be still put it outside in the spring & summer in Oklahoma-temps between 80'-110'? Thank you.

Jackson Ballew.

Answer
Yes, this plant will grow well outside.  The red leaf variety loves full sun and seems to grow well in warm temperatures.  The only concern is wind.  Make sure to shelter it from strong summer wind.  The dry hot wind can cause the leaf tips to turn brown.  Dust and debris will also stick to the plant.  If you don't mind these minor cosmetic blemishes, you can grow it outside.  Otherwise, keep it in a very bright, warm windowsill, such as a west window.

Good growing!
