Red Leaf Clover - Shamrock

Question
My sister has seen this plant and wants one for Christmas.  Is there a place that sells them?

Answer
Hi Zee,

"Red Leaf Clover - Shamrock" is a descriptive name, not a botanical name so I cannot be sure exactly what plant your sister wants. I suspect it is an Oxalis species, a plant that has leaves that look like shamrocks or clover and with some varieties that are maroon in color.

Here are two sites that have photos of Oxalis and also sell them online:

<a href="http://www.glasshouseworks.com/trop-o.html#Oxalis">

<a href="http://www.logees.com/Fire-Fern-Oxalis-hedysaroides-Rubra/productinfo/D7004-2/">

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
