sundew

Question
I'm going on vacation for a week and would like to know how to set up my sundew while I'm gone.  It's in a pot with a bowl and some water set in a terrarium right now, would that be enough to keep it alive and well while I'm gone?  I live in Missouri.  I've had the plant all summer and it's doing great.  Also it's outside, should I bring it in and set it near bright light for the time I'm gone?          Thank you

Answer
Hi Leslie

I wish I could give you a perfect way to do this, but really boils down to two options.  Leave your plant with someone who will care for it while you're on vacation, or have someone come over and water while you're gone as one option.  The other is spend money an an automatic watering system which will be a bit pricey.  Here's an example:  http://www.amazon.com/Claber-8053-4-Programs-Automatic-Watering/dp/B000U5YFR4/re  Probably not a great choice for one plant.  Otherwise if you're gone for more than a couple days, it's going to dry out.  Sorry.  No magic bullet on this one.

Good Growing!
