Question
I live in Southern California and am about to build a small bog garden ( 8'x9') do I need to plant the sarracenia's in it or can I just fill the bog with potted plants?

Hi Tom,

You could just leave them in the pots.  I would be somewhat concerned about them getting enough water depending on how wet the bog was.  Also, you're going to see much more spectacular growth if they are planted since they can grow out and send roots deeper.
