Question

Nepenthes  

Nepenthed white spots   i bought a nepenthes a week before christmas, and it only has grown new leafs and no pitchers. And the only pitcher it has is small. I have the plant in a morning sunny east window in sweden.

Hi Felix,

This is very normal for winter in the Northern hemisphere.  When days are short, and sun intensity low, Nepenthes stop pitchering.  They will resume once we get past the Equinox next week.  As the sunlight increases, you should see pitcher production resume.
