Questionany new information on using bayer natria? im going to go to lowes today to purchase a fungicide for my pitcher plants and flytraps, they recommended 3.... garden safe- fungicide3, daconil, and bayer natria. any ideas on which is best for preventitive use? bayer natria is sulfer base..
AnswerHi Micah,
Natria doesn't contain sulfur anymore. It uses Bacillus subtilis. This is the same ingredient that's in Serenade fungicide. https://www.bayeradvanced.com/find-a-product/rose-flower-care/natria-disease-control This would be safe on Sarracenia, but I would test it on flytraps. It's toxic to some sundews. I killed a whole tray one time with this stuff. I've also used this product on vegetables for powdery mildew, and it seems to be fairly short acting. You would need to reapply often.
This is our preferred product for use as a preventative fungicide: http://www.saferbrand.com/store/fungus-disease/5450 They also make it in a concentrate for mixing.
