King tut Papyrus

Question
i have attended a garden show and one of the many plants mentioned was King Tut. I have finally found one last pot of the plant. Unfortunately I forgot to water it for a few days. Now some of the stems were turning brown and limp( I pinched some off). I added plenty of water and put the plant outside Will it survive? I live in Kansas by the way.
Thanks

Answer
Alexandra,
This plant won't live through the winter where you are, but it will be pretty all summer. If you want to keep it in a pot, plant it in a larger one with fresh potting soil, and set that pot in a shallow bowl or deeper saucer. That way you'll be able to keep some water in that saucer (freshen it every day so mosquitos won't grow in it) and the plant won't dry out. These plants grow in water or boggy places naturally. I'm sure that the plant will recover and you'll see new growth soon.

all the best,
C.L.
