Question
I have a Medinilla bought from a garden centre it has started to produce a flower but on the small buds there are small( about the size of a match head) white balls of what looks like fungus I would like to know how to treat this and what is its likely cause

Hi Ken:
Your description may indicate an insect rather than a disease organism.  Can you send a photo?  Try to get as close as you can to the subject and most importantly, review your image on the computer before you send it.  A blurry photo is of limited value.  These "balls" may be an insect such as a wooly aphid or mealybug.  It is important to get an accurate ID before you buy an appropriate spray material.
