My Sago Palm has a fungus

Question
Hi, my Sago Palm has a fungus or disease underneath the leaves & all of the lower leaves have turned yellow.  The fungus or disease are little brown bumpy things all over.  Can this be cured or should I get rid of the plant.  I kept this plant in a room this past summer that has a window a/c unit running 24/7.  Also, I keep a florescent light over this plant & others.  Thank you for any help you may give!  Sandra

Answer
To the best of my knowledge, there is a new disease out that eventually will kill all sago's and there is nothing to date to stop it.  Even before this disease, which came in with the hurricanes, sagos are notorious for problems.  As it is in your home, you may try an oil spray to suffocate the critters, scrape them off and apply an oil spray and keep a close check on it.  For an alternative approach try Neem spray....kathy
