Triple Robellini

Question
Hi Kathy,  We have two Robellini's planted close together.  One is doing great and the other has a black colored mold like coating with gray spots on the fronds.  We've only had this plant a year and a half.  Since planting, we were hit with a hurricane and most plants did develop some new diseases from whatever was in the air, but they have all come back. There is new growth on this triple that is coming in green, but the new growth still have the grey spots.  Both plants are now starting to turn brown due to winter/frost.  Though this happened last year and both grew back.  How would you suggest treating?  Thank you.

Answer
Hi Suzanne..A robellini can take about 28 degrees for about 4 hours and begin to rot.  I don't know where you live but you will always have a problem with this one during your cold freezing days.  When you get tired of watching this one always go down hill, plant one that takes the cold better.  Happy New Year..Kathy
