white splotches on lemon tree

Question
We have had a lemon tree for about 5 years that always comes in at winter time.  We have a new cameleon and needed a large tree in its 3 and a half foot habitat so we put the lemon tree in there.  I noticed that one of the leaves have a weird spot on it. White patches is all that is left were it is eaten on the leaf, it also looks like tiny brown specks all over where the green is missing.  I hope they are not mites and that they are not something the cameleon can get.  Other than that the tree has fruit and is still flowering.  Thank you for any help you can offer

Answer
Hi Tracey...I wouldn't worry too much if you only have this on one leaf.  Just pull the leaf off.  Bugs usually hide under the leaves.  You could spray it with some soapy water or Pure Neem Oil which is organic and will not hurt your chameleon.  This could put your mind at ease or protect it from future problems.  Happy Gardening kathy
