Question
I have a 4ft potted Gardenia plant since last July. It has been indoors since Nov. due to frost. This week I have noticed a spiderweb-like substance on the top where each bud would be and microscopic white bugs crawling all over the webs. Do you know what this could be and what I should do?  Thanks

Hi Marie...Sounds like you have aphids on your plant.  They suck the sap from the plant.  Use an insecticidal soap or Neem Oil spray.  These are two organic methods to use.  The Neem Oil will not wash off and protect your plant in the future, only needing to spray the new growth if it returns.  Happy Gardening..kathy
