i have what i think is white spot on my gum tree. i was just wondering how it got there and what impacts it would have on my tree.

If this is a sweetgum tree, probably not much impact at all.  If this some other type of tree, respond back with a more detatiled description of the white spots.  They could be fungus or insects and you will need to squash some of them to tell if they are bugs or not.  I await your response.  Thanks.
