Strange bush by Asian Pear Tree

Question
Berry thing
Berry thing
I have several asian pear trees and on either side of one of them are two bushes that are producing lots of tiny little "berry" type things.  I have attached a picture of what this "berry" looks like.  It is no bigger than my thumb nail.

Is this a hybrid from my asian pear tree?  Or possibly some kind of disease from my pear tree?

Any help is appreciated as I just bought this house and dont know much about fruit trees!

Thank you :)

PS The "berry" thing is very brown - the flash on the camera seems to make the thing almost very green, but it is pretty brown.

Answer
Hi Desiree,

Asian Pears are grafed onto a root stock.  The root stock could be anywhere from inches to a toot or two off the ground.  I have a feeling the fruit is coming from the root stock and must be removed and kept off the trunk of the tree in that area or it will kill your asian pear as it is stronger...the clue is you are calling it a bush and they are trees....kathy
