How do I treat my hibiscus and hollyhock plants. The leaves look like lace and I see small worms. My garden is bird and butterfly friendly.

Hi Lynn, Sounds like you have thrips that leave the leaves looking like lace.  You can get some Atomic Grow which will bring your plants back to health.  It is organic and will not hurt your butterflies.  I use it in my butterfly gardens at my nursery and it actually makes the plants sweeter and bloom longer.  kathy
