My cane plant has yellow leaves, could you explain what's happening?

Hi V, Yellowing of lower leaves can be just normal aging. There are several reasons for yellowing leaves. Over or under watering is the most common cause. As a general rule you should allow the top 1-2 inches of soil to dry between watering.
Too low humidity can cause yellowing leaves. You can raise the humidity around the plant by placing it on a tray filled with pebbles and water.  kathy
