My aloe vera plant is losing its color

Question

Aloe Vera
Hi
I recently re-potted my aloe vera plant and started letting it get some direct sunlight. However for the first two days i did not water it because I read that you are suppose to let it get use to its new pot. Then It started to lose its dark green color and became very pale, sickly looking and some of the leaves became soft. I immediately watered it and brought it inside (where it has been for the last year and a half) and the soft feeling went away but the color has not returned. What does this mean and what should i do? Also one of the leaves are broken and i decided to hold it up with a stick to see if it would recover. Will it or should i cut it off?
Thank you very much
Adam

Answer
Hi Adam,  I water my aloe plants next to never hardly ever.  To green them up use some epsom salts which will give your plant a quick fix till your fertilizer works.  Epsom salts is minor nutrients that you may not have in your fertilizer.  You could cut off the leave and lay it on the soil and it should root an make a new plant for you.  kathy
