banana tree health

hi,i have a dwarf red banana tree.ive had it for about 1 yr.i live in las vegas ,nv.i put the tree outside in summer and keep it inside the rest of thr time.its been doing great intill just recently.the leavesare turning yellow and dying.i put it outside and the leaves start really drooping.the trunk slopes to the side and it seems a little loose in thr soil.but there are new still growing in the middle.am i watering too much ,not enough?.soil seems to be dry to moist up to 3-4 inches down.any ideas ,thanks...............ken

Hi Ken, Sounds like your banana plant is not getting enough water.  I water banana plants in a pot everyday.  They love water just do not want to sit in it.  You need a product like Saturade by Florikan   to loosen the soil so your banana gets water.  kathy
