Meyers Improved Lemon Tree Fruit Problem

Question
QUESTION: We have a Meyers Improved Lemon tree planted on the NE side of our house, in ground.  It gets morning sun up until about 3:00 in the afternoon.  We have had it planted for about 7 years.  It has produced wonderful fruit in abundance all of its past years.  The only difference over the years is that it has more and more seeds in the fruit, but the lemons are still extremely juicy.  This year, about half of the fruit looks to have some type of fungus.  The skin appears to be a ruddy, brown.  It does not appear to be stunting the growth of the fruit at all.  The leaves and trunk all look good.  We live in Central Florida on the west coast.  Any ideas of what this could be?

ANSWER: Hi LA  your citrus lemon is being cross pollinated by a grapefruit, which could be up to two miles away.  The fungus can be cured with Atomic Grow which is organic product made from food.  kathy

QUESTION: One more question.....why use Atomic Grow which is a growth enhancer to cure this fungus?  Should it be mixed with a fungicide or something like that?

Answer
Hi LA...Atomic Grow is a fungicide, miticide and rids bugs because it makes them healthy by raising the brix in the plant.  That is the sugar content in a plant and by doing that it is very healthy and bugs go elsewhere.  It does everything and all made from food.  kathy
