Improved Meyer Lemon Disease

Question

Lemon
About 2 years ago I had bought 3 citrus trees; a lime, improved Meyer lemon, and a Eureka lemon.  All trees were potted in planters, each tree maybe a foot and a half tall.  The Eureka died pretty quickly, but my question is for the Improved Meyer Lemon.  The leaves, stem and the fruit are covered in "spots" and seem to be scaly.  These spots can be scraped off, and seem to be seriously hindering the plants growth.  Do you know this could be and how I can mitigate this problem?

Answer
Hi Todd, You have scale on the tree which looks horrible but will not hurt the fruit.  To make your fruit look good you need to use an insecticide to kill the insects.  Or you can use Atomic Grow which is organic and will bring your tree to the best health and the bugs will go away as bugs love to be on sick trees.  It will also get rid of black on citrus and other plants, fungus, etc.  Also when you put a plant in a different container you need to be careful of water too much as the plant dries from the outside of the pot in.  The inside could be wet and the outside dry and if you water the whole plant all the time it will rot it.  Once the new roots establish on your plant then you would always water the whole thing everytime.  kathy
