I have 2 robellina palms in the corner of my pool that I planted 3 months ago.  One of them is not doing so well...it has white stuff on the branches, and it doesn't seem to be growing like the other one.  What is my problem?

Hi James it is either a fungus or mealy bugs, have a feeling fungus in a pool area from the humidity.  You can use an insecticidal spray, and or Atomic Grow, which is organic and would help to make your plant grow like the other and rid it of bugs at the same time.  I would drench the soil with 4 teaspoons of AG and then spray the leaves wait a week and just spray the palm again and then once more in another week.  Then a monthly spray for upkeep.  It will clean off the fronds and make them beautiful and shiny too.  It raises the brix so bugs go elsewhere.  kathy
