Groundhogs, deer, opossum

Question
So far this year our garden has produced no picking vegetables because the groundogs, deer and opossums have eaten everything.  We have tried everything to no avail.  They come out in broad daylight and feast.  Is there some sure fire way to get rid of these pests outside of either not trying to grow vegetables or else taking the shotgun and trying to blast them to kingdom come.   I would love to have something to eat fromthe garden this year.  Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.                            Barbara Adams

Answer
Hi Barbara

Groundhogs are day active animals.  Live trap or shoot them.  If deer raccoon and opossum are raiding you in broad daylight, you have an unusual situation that I can offer no meaningful advice.  Shooting deer is almost certainly illegal without a state issued permit.  Blast away at the others.

If your problems are nocturnal I have a solution that you can read about at my info site
