ants in house

Question
living in a 3 yr old house, its unfinished inside, and about 2 weeks ago, I noticed a dark spot near the bottom of the sheet rock..this was inside the house, but on a outer wall..(no baseboard installed yet)upon closer examination, it was ants...all bunched up, lil brown ants...the spot was about the size of half dollar, I gave them a shot of this defogging spray, also a couple puffs of boric acid...and also some terro..nothing impressed them, they disappeared...

about a week later...10 feet further from that spot, I see them again....down near the floor, on bottom egde of sheet rock....I slid some Terro towards them....they weren't impressed, far as I could tell, they didn't care for it... but they have disappeared again, and now I'm some concerned they are in that entire wall...am not quite sure what to do...

there is no ant mound outside the house, any tree branches are a good 15 feet from house...I have been upstairs, have seen nothing...which doesn"t count, cause if I hadn't notice that funny lil dark spot I still wouldn't of seen them....the house is built on a cement slab, no wood is touching the ground....

would a bug bomb help me/????  any ideas you might have, I would appreciate....I hope I have given you enuff information....thx...pat

Answer
if they are black ants they are possibly carpentar ants !If they are tiny they could be pavement ants depending where you live there are different species of ants north and south !

lightly dusting with boric acid dust or perma dust aerosol will help ! most ants want carbs or protiens so use terro ant find a protien type ant bait or Gourmet ant bait !
