Fleas

Question
HELP!
I have 1 dog (shepard mix) and 3 house cats.
I have had the dog and 2 cats for over 13 years. The third cat I got as a stray over a year ago (and had her checked by the vet before I even brought her home). The cats are strictly indoor cats. Three weeks ago, I noticed all the pets scratching. I found fleas on all of them. I even have had fleas jumping on me as I sit on the couch. First, I tried flea collars on all of them and sprayed my furniture and carpets with over-the-counter spray I got at PetSmart. That didn't make any difference. I got FrontLine plus on all the cats. I got a CapStar pill for the dog, and treated him with frontline plus 24 hours after the pill. AGAIN, I washed all the blankets and pillows in hot water, vacumed the entire house, and sprayed with stuff the vet sold me. Now, a week later - all the animals STILL have fleas, and I still have them jump on me as I sit on the couch. In all the years I have had these pets, I have never, ever had this situation. Once, about 5 years ago, the dog had fleas on him, I treated with frontline, and they disappeared. What more can I do? I even sprayed the curtains this last time! I am at the end of my rope with this - especially considering all the money I have spent and the problem seems to be getting worse - not better. Your advice would be greatly appreciated!

Answer
Maggie ,

you need a professional pest control company asap ! The fleas are breeding in your house from what you are telling me !

Make sure when they apply a professional flea growth regulator called Nugard ! Its the best out there ! A pesticide application will kill of the adults but there are breeding spots in your house !
Vaccum till you hire a professional you can spray all you want but the professional will get to the source !

Its usually your furniture and under items along the baseboards ! My recomendation is #1 a professional
