moles/voles/ and chipmunks

Question
We live in SW Connecticut and have a multitude of these little pests (as well as deer!) the chipmunks have dug holes all over the yard and are working hard at eating the rubber weatherstripping under the garage door. The moles or voles have tunneled out half the yard. What can we do to rid ourselves of these pesky critters? Thanks!

Answer
You have so many issues, I am going to have to just send you to our site. http://icwdm.org  When you get to our home page visit the Control Methods link for the species you are concerned about. Remember, voles and moles do different damage. Moles create mounds in the soil looking for worms, ants and other insects. They don't damage plants, except indirectly by separating roots from the surrounding soil. Voles are vegetarians, they do.

There is more information there than you will ever want to know.

There is no magic, no quick fixes. Don't waste your money on silly ultrasound unless you just have to spend money on something that won't work. We have information on repellents too and why they frequently fail to live up to user expectations.

When you narrow your questions down, feel free to contact me either here or through the site.
