Fungus growing in my garden

Question
I was wondering if the copper fungicide works on all kinds of fungus in flower beds. Our fungus is dark orange and is growing fast. We also have mushrooms growing in our potted plants. Is there a preventative?

Answer
Sarah, copper has proven to be the most effective control for fungus diseases. I personally use a product called Soap Shield from Garden Alive. This product also contains a small amount of a fatty acid which allows the copper to last longer and offer better protection. I have attached a link to this product for your convenience.

There is no question that copper, like most fungicides, is a better preventive than it is a cure. But if the disease is treated quickly, it will reverse the condition.

I hope this answered your question. Please write again if I can provide additional information.

Regards,

Mike
